A place of reunion for the Riestra's

Sobre el origen de este antiguo y noble linaje asturiano se ha escrito que sus ascendientes fueron Señores de Saavedra, en Galicia, en tiempos del Rey de Castilla y León don Pedro I "el Cruel" (Burgos, 1334 - Montiel, La Mancha, 1369), y que por haber sido tenazmente combatidos por el citado monarca transladaron su residencia a un lugar llamado Riestra (Asturias, España), cuyo nombre tomaron por apellido.

About the origins of this old and noble Asturian lineage, it is been written that their predecessors were "Señores de Saavedra", in Galicia, at the time of the king of Castilla y León, don Pedro I "el Cruel" (Burgos, 1334 - Montiel, La Mancha, 1369), and that after been battled by such monarch they moved their residence to a place called Riestra (Asturias, Spain), from where they took their last name.
